Bluebirds readily use manmade housing for their nests, often successfully producing two broods a year. This has helped increase the diminished bluebird population. This quality crafted cedar home creates a comfortable nest for bluebirds. The 1.625" diameter entrance hole is specifically designed for eastern, western and mountain bluebirds, and the absence of a perch keeps other birds out. A ventilation gap at the top of the front panel keeps the home cool, while gaps in two corners of the base allow any excess water to drain. The 0.875" thick cedar construction aids in insulating the home, and the copper covered roof adds interest to the piece. A woodburned graphic of a bluebird perched on a stump decorates the front panel of the house, completing the look. One of the side panels lifts upward, making cleaning and nest checks simple. Use the included screws and predrilled mounting holes to attach this item to a post or pole. Made in the USA.
